21. Describe someone you know who has started a business.

You should say:

who this person is

what work this person does

why this person decided to start a business

and explain whether you would like to do the same kind of business as this person.

Sample Answer

Someone I know who has started a business is my friend, Maya. Maya is a talented graphic designer who decided to start her own freelance graphic design business.

Maya has always had a passion for art and design, and she honed her skills by studying graphic design in college and gaining experience working for various design agencies.

However, Maya felt constrained by the limitations of working for others and wanted the freedom to pursue her creative vision and work on projects that aligned with her interests and values.

Driven by her entrepreneurial spirit and desire for autonomy, Maya took the bold step of starting her own graphic design business. She set up a home office, created a portfolio showcasing her work, and began networking with potential clients through social media, online platforms, and local events.

Maya's decision to start her own business was fueled by a desire for creative freedom, financial independence, and the opportunity to make a positive impact through her work. She wanted to have control over her schedule, choose the projects she worked on, and build meaningful relationships with clients who shared her passion for design.

As for whether I would like to do the same kind of business as Maya, I admire her courage and entrepreneurial spirit, but I don't think graphic design is the right fit for me.
