Transportation
1. What is the most common mode of transport in your city?
In my city, most people use buses to get around. They're big vehicles that carry lots of people and travel along set routes.
2. How do you usually travel to work or school?
I usually drive to work/school in my car. It's easy because I can go directly to where I need to be without waiting for other people.

3. What mode of transportation do you prefer for long-distance travel?
For long trips, I prefer taking the train. It's comfortable, and I can relax and enjoy the view. Additionally, it's usually cheaper than driving or flying.
4. Have you ever had a bad experience while using public transportation?
Yes, a few times. Sometimes the buses are late, and I end up being late too. And once, the bus broke down, and we had to wait a long time for another one.
5. Do you think public transportation in your city is efficient?
Yes, I think so. The buses usually come on time, and there are lots of them, so you don't have to wait too long. But sometimes, during busy times, they can get really crowded.
6. Do you think people should use bicycles more for transportation?
Yes, I think so. Bicycles are good for short trips, and they're good exercise too. Additionally, they don't cause pollution like cars do.
7: What transportation does your family use for local trips versus long distance?
For local errands we often walk, cycle or catch an auto-rickshaw. For longer journeys of 4+ hours, we take the train or fly to maximize time and comfort.
8. Is public transport safe for women nowadays?
Safety situation has improved with surveillance, helplines etc. but we still have a long way to go make public spaces absolutely secure for women.
9. What innovative mobility solutions can cities adopt?
Electric buses, integrated mobile apps encompassing metro, rail, bus, bikes/scooters, carpooling and safe footpaths/cycle lanes are the need of the hour.
10. Is commute an important factor when you choose jobs or houses?
Yes, convenient and affordable daily commute is non-negotiable. I always consider transport routes, modes, costs before finalizing accommodation/offices.
11. Do you feel metro rail networks have reduced congestion and pollution in cities?
Certainly, metro rails have eased road traffic significantly in cities like Delhi, reducing commuting hassles as well as air pollution.
12. How has the introduction of cab services like Ola and Uber impacted people?
They have promoted entrepreneurship, made personal transport affordable with lower fares compared to taxis and generated lakhs of jobs.
13. Why is adopting electric vehicles proving slow across India?
High prices of EVs, lack of charging points, limited mileage capacity per charge are barriers, especially outside bigger cities currently.
14. Do you foresee flying cars becoming a reality in India?
With India aiming to become a leader in futuristic mobility solutions, flying vehicles may materialize at scale within 2 decades here.
15. Will Indians continue relying on conventional transport modes 10 years from now?
While conventional buses, autos and trains would continue serving masses given constraints, clean, shared and intelligent mobility would grow exponentially.
