1. Do you enjoy celebrating festivals?
Absolutely, I love celebrating festivals. They are a great way to celebrate culture, traditions, and community spirit.
2. What festivals are celebrated in your country?
In my country, we celebrate a wide variety of festivals reflecting our diverse culture and traditions. Some of the major festivals include Diwali, Holi, Eid, Christmas, and Durga Puja.

3. What is your favourite festival? Why?
My favourite is Diwali, the festival of lights. I love the bright decorations, fireworks, sweets, and getting together with my whole extended family. It represents the victory of light over darkness and good over evil.
4. How do people in your country celebrate festivals?
Festivals are usually celebrated with big meals, parties, new clothes, music, dance performances, and spending time with loved ones. Houses are decorated with lights, rangoli or torans. Temple visits and prayer are also common. Gifts are often given on festivals.
5. What festivals did you celebrate growing up as a child?
As a child, I celebrated all the major festivals like Diwali and Holi. We'd have huge family gatherings with traditional food and new clothes. Those traditions helped shape my identity.
6. Do people in your country prefer celebrating festivals with family or friends?
It depends on the festival and personal preferences. Some festivals are traditionally celebrated with family, while others are more social and involve gathering with friends or even the wider community.
7. Are there any traditional foods associated with festivals in your country?
Yes, each festival in my country has its own set of traditional foods that are prepared and enjoyed during the celebrations. For example, during Diwali, we make sweets like ladoos and jalebis, while during Eid, biryani and kebabs are popular dishes.
8. Do you think festivals have changed over the years?
Yes, festivals have definitely evolved over the years. While the core traditions and customs remain the same, there have been changes in how they are celebrated, influenced by modernization, and societal trends.
9. Should public holidays be given for major festivals? Why?
I believe major national festivals should be public holidays as they are integral parts of our culture. This allows everyone to fully participate without missing work or school. The holiday spirit these occasions create are beneficial for society.
10. Do you think too much money is spent on festivals sometimes?
There are times when excessive amounts are spent on lavish decor, food and gifts which seems wasteful. But festivals are meant to be enjoyed. As long as people can afford it and don't go into debt, I think it's fine to spend on celebrations.
