Elon Musk is involved in various business ventures, but he is perhaps best known for his leadership roles at SpaceX and Tesla. SpaceX is a private aerospace manufacturer and space transportation company founded by Musk with the goal of reducing space transportation costs and enabling the colonization of Mars. Tesla, Inc. is an electric vehicle and clean energy company that aims to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy.
