One book that I thoroughly enjoyed reading because it required a lot of thought was "Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind" by Yuval Noah Harari. I decided to read this book after hearing numerous recommendations and seeing it frequently mentioned in discussions about human history and evolution.

"Sapiens" is a thought-provoking exploration of the history of Homo sapiens, tracing our species' journey from the emergence of Homo sapiens in Africa to the present day. The book covers a wide range of topics, including the cognitive revolution, agricultural revolution, formation of complex societies, and the impact of technology and culture on human development.

Reading "Sapiens" made me think deeply about the fundamental questions of human existence, such as the origins of human consciousness, the nature of power and authority, and the meaning of progress and civilization. It challenged my preconceptions and forced me to reevaluate my understanding of history, society, and the human condition.

What I enjoyed most about reading "Sapiens" was its ability to stimulate my intellect and spark meaningful conversations and reflections. The book's engaging narrative style, combined with its rich historical insights and thought-provoking ideas, kept me captivated from beginning to end. It encouraged me to question the status quo and explore new perspectives on the world around me.

Furthermore, "Sapiens" inspired me to delve deeper into the study of anthropology, sociology, and philosophy, as I sought to further understand the complexities of human history and culture. It opened my eyes to the interconnectedness of human societies and the profound impact that our actions have on the world we inhabit.

In summary, "Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind" is a captivating and intellectually stimulating book that challenges readers to think critically about the past, present, and future of humanity. It is a testament to the power of knowledge and the importance of seeking truth and understanding in an ever-changing world.
