The image shows the percentage of water used for different purposes in six areas of the world. The purposes are industrial, agricultural, and domestic use.

Overall, it is clear that agricultural use consumes the most water in most areas, except for North America and Europe, where industrial use is higher. Domestic use accounts for the smallest proportion of water usage in all areas.

In North America, industrial use takes up 48% of water, followed by agricultural use at 39% and domestic use at 13%. In contrast, South America has the highest percentage of water used for agriculture at 71%, while industrial and domestic use are only 10% and 19%, respectively.

Europe has a more balanced distribution of water usage, with 53% for agriculture, 32% for domestic use, and 15% for industrial use. Africa, on the other hand, has the lowest percentage of water used for industrial purposes at 7%, while agricultural use dominates at 84% and domestic use is 9%.

Central Asia has a similar pattern to Africa, but with an even higher reliance on water for agriculture at 88%, leaving only 7% for domestic use and 5% for industrial use. South East Asia has the highest percentage of water used for domestic purposes at 81%, while agricultural use is 12% and industrial use is 7%.

The image presents the proportion of water allocated to three different sectors in six regions of the world. The sectors are industrial, agricultural, and domestic.

A glance at the image reveals that water usage varies considerably across the regions, depending on their economic development, climatic conditions, and societal needs. Agricultural use is the most prevalent in four regions, while industrial use is the most significant in two regions. Domestic use is the least common in all regions.

North America and Europe are the only regions where industrial use surpasses agricultural use, with 48% and 15% respectively in North America, and 15% and 53% respectively in Europe. Domestic use accounts for 13% in North America and 32% in Europe.

South America, Africa, and Central Asia are the regions where agricultural use dominates, with 71%, 84%, and 88% respectively. Industrial use is minimal in these regions, with 10%, 7%, and 5% respectively. Domestic use is slightly higher in South America at 19%, compared to 9% in Africa and 7% in Central Asia.

South East Asia is the region where domestic use is the highest at 81%, while agricultural use is the lowest at 12%. Industrial use is similar to Central Asia at 7%.
